Wonders, in Black and White 2, are large, expensive buildings that, when constructed, add 3,000 impressiveness each, to your settlement.
When a Wonder is fully charged, by idle villagers or assigned Disciple Worshippers, you can unleash a highly destructive, chaotic miracles (with the exception of the Siren miracle, which can be equally devastating to the enemy, but doesn't destroy).
Wonders can, depending on the amount of population worshipping, take several in-game days to charge; meaning, the more villagers worshiping at the wonder, the faster it will charge.
List of Wonders[]
- Volcano Wonder: Its Volcano Miracle creates a Volcano, that spouts lava in a target area, and explosive fireballs. Most expensive Wonder to unlock.
- Earthquake Wonder: Its Earthquake Miracle makes the land become treacherous, deadly and cracked in a target area, with great destruction to structures and humans, alike.
- Hurricane Wonder: Its Hurricane Miracle generates a large, extremely-destructive moving whirlwind of air. It can lift units and kill them, as well as lift and tear apart structures.
- Siren Wonder: The only non-destructive Wonder in the game. Its Siren Miracle converts enemy soldiers and villagers to join your population, like a forced migration.
Unused Wonders[]
The following Wonders appear in the GameBalanceArtefact.txt game file, but not in the game itself. They are assumed scrapped:
- VERDANT Wonder: Most probably would have used the Verdant Miracle added in Battle of the Gods.
- STOPTIME Wonder: Presumably to let your stuff move while the enemy becomes frozen in time and unable to act, or some other time-freeze related effect.
- WOMD Wonder: Unknown; WOMD could be the initials to something, but there is no known reference to them; in real life, WOMD means "weapon of mass destruction", though considering that the volcano, hurricane, and earthquake miracles are already massively destructive, it leaves much to the imagination as to what this Wonder would do. The WOMD wonder might have used the similarly unreferenced DOOMSDAY epic miracle, listed in the Miracles file.

Gameplay advice[]
Wonders expand your influence greatly, so placing them around the outskirts of your settlements is a good way to quickly expand your control over the area quickly. Using these Wonder buildings, or other buildings (like Creature Pens, Storehouses, Altars, Temples, et cetera) to expand your influence away from your populace and even more important buildings, is is also a good way to prevent Epic Miracles from being targeted at, and cast near your town by the enemy leaders in later Lands.
However, this opens those buildings up to being exposed to assaults by armies and catapults, as well as being the first buildings to be hit by an epic miracle, so use caution when using Wonders to expand control.
When building the wonder, refrain from god-building it by hand, as it depletes resources by at least 1,000 more units than when otherwise built by villagers or your Creature. As such, deploy a team of 10-15 Disciple Builders to construct it, once you've collected the resource to complete it, and simply move the builders to the next building, or erase their discipleship.
Since impressiveness of uncaptured settlements is directly affected by their distance from your town, by the impressiveness-value of buildings in the two towns in question, and population of each town, having high impressiveness and casting the Hurricane miracle, or the Siren miracle near to the population center of a town (especially a capital city of the enemy of the land), is a quick and easy way to win the land.
